Objectives
At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
- Select the type of vascular access according to clinical needs (peripheral IV, midline, CVC, PICC, intraosseous).
- Apply the safe and sterile technique of placing access under ultrasound guidance.
- Use ultrasound for real-time visualization of the vein and needle tip during work.
- Prevent catheter-related infections by respecting hygiene protocols and sterile barriers.
- Recognize and treat acute and late complications (bleeding, pneumothorax, thrombosis, infection).
- Demonstrate competence in practical assessment stations.
